The iPhone Back Glass is glued on to the Housing in the factory. The back of the Housing has several cut-outs, allowing the wireless charging coil to touch directly onto the back glass. Also, there are other cut-outs in the frame where several necessary cables are exposed. If these are damaged, then the iPhone would not function properly again.
The Old Way
When these iPhone first came out and repairs came in, we had to remove the display, Logic Board, battery, camera and all other inner parts from the Housing. The iPhone frame then heated up on a jig, and the iPhone back glass would press off once the correct temperature was obtained. The new iPhone Back Glass would then be fitted and left for a few hours for the glue to cure. Then the iPhone would be reassembled.

Now we have the latest technology that uses a laser system to cut the glue between the iPhone Back Glass and the iPhone frame.
The machine uses CAD Drawings for each iPhone. The drawings have all the cut-outs for the cables, camera etc. So when we make a pass of the laser over the iPhone Back Glass, the laser avoids the housing cables.
When we get your iPhone in for our iPhone Back Glass Repair Bournemouth, we assess the iPhone’s condition to make sure that it is straight and fully functioning, so we will require your passcode. If you reset your iPhone, you need to activate it to get into the iPhone to test it before starting.

Once in position, we split the CAD drawing into all its separate components and ensure that other drawing parts are lined up.

We then merge the CAD drawing and start the laser process.
Once the laser process is finished, we remove the broken Back Glass and clean the Housing.
Fresh Backglass is applied and glued into place.
The repaired Housing is then placed in a mould for the glue to dry.
After a few hours, the iPhone Housing is taken out of the mould, and the iPhone si reassembled.
