This policy is about cookies. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be:

first-party cookies, set by our site, or
third-party cookies, set by another service we use, such as Google.

Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others are used only if you agree.

How we ask for your consent

We use Complianz to show a cookie banner and to record your choices.

The banner is a UK opt-in banner. When you first visit, you can accept, refuse, or choose categories:

Functional — always on, because the site needs these to work (including remembering your cookie choice)
Preferences — optional
Statistics — optional
Marketing — optional

Your choice is stored for 365 days, unless you change it sooner.

You can reopen the banner at any time using Manage Cookie Consent in the site footer.

If you refuse optional cookies, some features will not load. In particular, Google Analytics will not run, and the Google Map will stay blocked until you allow marketing cookies.

Cookies and tools we use

This list is based on what the live website actually loads. We have not listed tools we could not see in use.

Functional (always on)

These support the website and your consent settings.

Complianz consent cookies (prefix cmplz_) — set by We Fix BCR / Complianz to remember whether you accepted or refused Functional, Preferences, Statistics and Marketing cookies. Typical lifetime: up to 365 days.
WordPress / Elementor session cookies — set by We Fix BCR to keep the site working while you browse. Extra login cookies are used only if someone signs in to WordPress. Typical lifetime: session, or as required for a logged-in session.

These do not include advertising cookies.

Preferences

Complianz offers a Preferences category so we can store non-essential settings if needed.

We did not observe a separate preferences product (for example a third-party personalisation tool) on the public homepage. If a preference cookie is set, it will only run after you allow this category.

Statistics (only with your consent)

If you allow Statistics cookies, we load Google Analytics 4.

Service: Google Analytics 4, via gtag
Measurement ID: G-CMKL79NTMP
Provider: Google Ireland / Google LLC
When it runs: only after you accept Statistics cookies. Until then the script is blocked by Complianz
Typical cookies: _ga and _ga_CMKL79NTMP
Purpose: to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and approximate location derived by Google. This helps us improve the website

Google may also process this data in the United States. You can refuse Statistics cookies without stopping you from reading the site.

We do not currently load the older Universal Analytics tracking snippet. A historic Google site-verification tag exists in the page source; that is not used as analytics in this policy.

Marketing (only with your consent)

If you allow Marketing cookies, we load the Google Maps embed that shows our shop location.

Service: Google Maps embed
Provider: Google
When it runs: only after you accept Marketing cookies. Until then the map is a placeholder
Purpose: to show 278 Holdenhurst Road on a map
Cookies: Google may set its own cookies (for example NID) when the map loads

We did not observe advertising pixels such as Facebook, TikTok or similar on the public homepage.

Forms — Google reCAPTCHA

Contact forms on the site use Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam.

Unlike Analytics and Maps, the reCAPTCHA script is loaded with the page so the form can work. Google may set cookies or similar storage when the widget runs.

If you do not want Google form-protection cookies, do not submit the online form. You can contact us by phone instead: 01202 399911.

How to change or withdraw consent

You can change your mind at any time:

Open Manage Cookie Consent on this website, or
Clear cookies for bournemouthiphonerepairshop.co.uk in your browser, then reload the site and choose again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site from working, including the consent banner itself.

Your privacy rights

Cookies can involve personal data, especially Analytics, Maps and reCAPTCHA.

For your rights under UK GDPR, and how to contact us about personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies or consent tools on this site, we will update this page. The date at the top will change when we do.
